Right Based Approach
Institution building through social mobilization and CODEC
facilitation created a sense of solidarity among the
disadvantaged men, women, children and adolescents in the
coastal area even the out reach villages who were otherwise
inarticulate and struggling hard merely in surviving. As the
process of social mobilization has been evolving, these
disadvantaged communities begin to assert the right to the
coastal and marine resources to which they are entitled. This
also enables them to have access to additional resources. This
will make them more vigilant and help them to monitor the
process and also ensure that the surplus they generate is not
dissipated. |
