CODEC Special Projects

Title: Patuakhali Barguna Aquaculture Extension Project (PBAEP)
PBAEP as a govt. project with the primary target group of the Aquaculture component covering five Upazillas in Kalapara, Galachipa, Barguna Sadar, Patharghata and Bamna under Patuakhali and Barguna Districts. The main objectives of PBAEP are to introduce sustainable Integrated Pond Farming. Danida is funding the program.

Title: Special project- Greater Noakhali Aquaculture Extension Project (GNAEP)
Greater Noakhali Aquaculture Extension Project shortly named GNAEP is a govet. project covering six Upzilla’s under the Greater Noakhali region with the primary target group poor pond operators. This program is also financed by Danida.

Title: Smallholder Livestock Development Project-2 (SLDP-2)
LDP-2 as a govt. project with the primary 4,185 target group in each upazila of the Livestock component covering five Upazilas in Patuakhali Sadar, Galachipa and Mirzagonj under under Patuakhali district and Chatkhil & Begumgonj under Noakhali District. The main objectives of Livestock is to introduce sustainable Poultry model in the working districts through a time limited training and extension program directly aimed at target members. Danida is financing the program also prove technical support.

Title: Income Generating Activities (IGAs) for the Underprivileged Communities
CODEC extended implementation of its development intervention at another coast of Bangladesh located at Bagerhat District for the socio-economic upliftment of underprivileged man and women. The program is focused on Education and IGA on productive purposes.

Title: Development Interventions for Advancement of the CHT & its inhabitants
CODEC is working in Rangmati among 40 ethnic villages in the field of education and primary health care. CODEC is also working to initiate a process to strengthen local organizations (Village based organizations) so that they may able raise their voice towards their basic rights.
