Seminar on SSC Result: Challenges and Expectations

Community Development Centre (CODEC) and Campaign for Good Governance (SUPRO) jointly arranged a seminar on “SSC Result: Challenges and Expectations” dated 24 August 2005 at CIRDAP Auditorium in Dhaka. Deputy Minister of Education Mr. A.N.M Ehsanul Haque Milon and 8 parliament members of coastal area were present at this seminar. The contents of seminar predominantly focus on scenario of coastal education regarding results of SSC and Dakhil in 2003 and 2004. It also visualizes results of SSC and Dakhil in view of national context in general. A study on coastal zone reveals that numbers of appeared students are alarming reduced in 2004 as compared to 2003. Majority students secured grade C and D, who would not suppose to be accessed in higher education. Speakers of the seminar emphasized on up-gradation of curriculum, vocational courses, skilled and trained teachers for English and Mathematics subject, reduction discrimination between rural and urban area including coastal area etc. Deputy Minister of Education Mr. A.N.M Ehsanul Haque Milon urges to do politics for education and positive change.
