Future Possibilities

Community Development Centre (CODEC) has been working with underprivileged communities in coastal and riverine areas of Bangladesh for last 20 years. CODEC has been growing and transforming as a learning organization through the paces of social changes and community needs. These prolong experiences craft mainly two new dimensions and possibilities of CODEC in future.

Firstly, CODEC will be facilitating the community-based organizations to enhance their capacity in compliance to their rights at local and national level.

Secondly, CODEC will open a new arena of education through launching Coastal Based University for ensuring the higher education of the financially poor youths in the coastal and riverine areas of Bangladesh. CODEC is gear to work closely with local elected representatives (mainly with Union Parishad) to enhance their capacity and governance.

CODEC also think to work in the field of education, poor students do not have the equal opportunity to continue their education as such disparity among rich and poor in the field of education is increasing in a very rapid way.

Lastly CODEC may work in the new areas but definitely towards the development of the coastal communities.
